Personal Protection IN the Home (PPITH) - Student
18 years of age or older. Must be experience shooters. Proof of experience includes successful completion of the NRA Basic or First Steps Pistol course, competitive pistol qualificaticion card, military DD 214 with pistol qualification, or passing the Pre-Course Assessment (contact instructor for information on the requirements).
INTERMEDIATE
Personal Protection OUTSIDE the Home (PPOTH) - Student
21 years of age or older. Must be experience shooters. Proof of experience successful completion of the NRA PPITH course or passing the Pre-Course Assessment (contact instructor for information on the requirements).

Refuse to be a Victim (RTBAV) Seminar
12 years of age or older.

Basic Instructor Training (BIT) / Trainer's Guide (TG)
Required for all new NRA instructor candidates and current instructors desiring to add disciplines and it has been more than 12 months since they last attended a BIT course.

Pistol Instructor
21 years of age. Successfully complete the BIT course (see course description). Must successfull complete the Pistol Instructor Pre-Course qualification by scoring 90 percent or higher on the Studetn Basic Pistol Examination, successfully complete the pistol handling exercises (loading and unloading a single action and double action revolver and semi-automatic pistol, and clearing common pistol malfunctions), and successfully shoot at a 9 inch target at 15 yards.

Personal Protection IN the Home (PPITH) - Instructor
21 years of age. Successfully complete the BIT course (see course description). Must successfull complete the PPITH Instructor Pre-Course qualification by scoring 90 percent or higher on the Studetn PPITH Examination, successfully complete the pistol handling exercises (loading and unloading a single action and double action revolver and semi-automatic pistol, and clearing common pistol malfunctions), and successfully shoot at a 9 inch target at 21 feet.

Personal Protection OUTSIDE the Home (PPOTH) - Instructor
21 years of age. Successfully complete the BIT course (see course description). Must successfull complete the PPOTH student course AND be both an NRA Certified Pistol AND PPITH Instructor.

Rifle Instructor
21 years of age. Successfully complete the BIT course (see course description). Must successfull complete the Rifle Instructor Pre-Course qualification by scoring 90 percent or higher on the Student Basic Rifle Examination, successfully complete the rifle handling exercises (loading and unloading a bolt action, lever, and semi-automatic rifle and clearing common rifle malfunctions), and successfully shoot at a 4.5 inch target at 25 yards from the bench rest, prone, and standing positions.
INSTRUCTOR
Shotgun Instructor
21 years of age. Successfully complete the BIT course (see course description). Must successfull complete the Shotgun Instructor Pre-Course qualification by scoring 90 percent or higher on the Student Basic Shotgun Examination, successfully complete the shotgun handling exercises (loading and unloading a pump, hinged, and semi-automatic shotgun, and clearing common shotgun malfunctions), and successfully shoot at a 25 shot round of trap or skeet when practical with a minimum ot 13 hits..
INSTRUCTOR
Training Counselor Workshop
Attendees must be NRA Certified Instructors and current NRA Members with a minimum of two years\' recent experience teaching NRA Basic Firearm Training Courses according to current NRA standards. They must also have taught five NRA-approved courses and 25 students is the absolute minimum experience recommended for workshop attendance.
